Terms of Service
Effective October 29, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and EPPS Sports Cards, LLC, doing business as Choose The Play ("Choose The Play", "we", "us"). They cover your use of choosetheplay.com and the Choose The Play app (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. Who can use the Service
The Service is built for coaches, trainers and athletic staff. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. If you use the Service for a school, club or other organization, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these terms for it.
2. Accounts and teams
- The person who creates a team is its owner. The owner manages the subscription, invites coaches and decides which sports each coach can see.
- Everyone the owner invites can see and change that team's data, within the sports the owner gives them. The owner is responsible for who they invite and for removing coaches who should no longer have access.
- Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else has used it.
- Give us a real email address and keep it current. We use it for sign-in and for important notices about your account.
3. Plans, billing and cancellation
- Subscriptions. Paid plans renew automatically every month or every year, depending on the plan you choose, until you cancel. One subscription covers a whole coaching staff. Extra sports and the Performance add-on are billed as part of the same subscription.
- Free trials. If a plan comes with a free trial, you won't be charged until the trial ends. If you don't cancel before then, the subscription starts and your payment method is charged.
- Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. You authorize us, through Stripe, to charge the payment method on file for each renewal, plus any taxes that apply.
- Cancelling. The team owner can cancel at any time from the Account page. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for, and you won't be charged again.
- Refunds. Payments are non-refundable, including for partly used periods, except where the law requires a refund.
- Failed payments. If a payment fails, Stripe will retry it for a short time. If it still can't be collected, your team loses access to paid features until the subscription is paid.
- Price changes. We may change prices. We will give you notice before a change applies to your subscription, and it takes effect at your next renewal after that notice.
4. Limits
Plans include limits that are shown in the app and on the Account page. These include a monthly number of AI analyses and a storage allowance for uploaded files. We may change these limits, and we will let you know before reducing them for a plan you already pay for.
5. Your content
"Your content" means everything you and your staff put into the Service. That includes plays, playbooks, schedules, game plans, rosters, depth charts, athlete information, workout programs, test results, notes, film and documents.
- You own your content. We don't claim ownership of it.
- Permission to run the Service. You give us permission to store, copy, process and display your content only as needed to provide the Service to you and your team. That includes sending the information needed for an AI feature to our AI provider when you use that feature (see section 6).
- Athlete information is your responsibility. You confirm that you have the right to enter every piece of information you add about athletes, including minors and health or injury details. That includes any consent your school, club, league or local law requires, such as a parent's or guardian's consent. Only add what you need to coach.
- Other people's material. Don't upload film, documents or other material you don't have the right to use.
6. AI features
Some features, such as game plan analysis, call sheets, tendency reads and athlete development analysis, use artificial intelligence. When you use one, the information it needs is sent to our AI provider to produce the result.
- AI results can be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable for your situation. Review them before you rely on them.
- The Service is not medical, health, nutrition or injury advice. Training programs, weight suggestions, percentages and development plans are general coaching aids. Make sure each athlete is ready for a workload before assigning it, follow your organization's safety rules, and send injury and health questions to a qualified professional.
7. Acceptable use
Don't use the Service to:
- break the law or anyone else's rights;
- access, or try to access, another team's data or any account that isn't yours;
- upload malware or interfere with the Service, its security or its limits;
- scrape, copy or resell the Service, or use it to build a competing product;
- harass anyone or store content that is unlawful, hateful or sexually explicit.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
8. Our Service
The Service, including its design, software, formations, templates and branding, belongs to us and is protected by law. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use it while your subscription is active and you follow these terms. We keep improving the Service and may add, change or remove features. We try to keep it available, but we don't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Keep your own copies of anything you can't afford to lose.
9. Ending your account
You can stop using the Service at any time. The team owner can cancel the subscription and ask us to delete the team's data. We may suspend or end access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if we have to by law. Sections 5 through 12 still apply after your account ends.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We are not responsible for game results, roster or playing-time decisions, athlete injuries, or other outcomes of how you coach or train.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Choose The Play is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or revenue. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and (b) $100. Some places don't allow these limits, so they apply to you only as far as your local law permits.
12. Indemnity
You agree to defend and cover us against claims that arise from your content or from your breaking these terms, including claims about athlete information you entered without the right consent.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the state where EPPS Sports Cards, LLC is organized, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located there, unless your local law gives you the right to bring it somewhere else.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will tell team owners by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.
